This day course aims to provide a thorough revision of the new SIAMS inspection process and the preparation that a school might reasonably wish to put in place to ensure that the inspector sees a full and honest reflection of the school’s distinctiveness and effectiveness as a Church school and is able to confidently test the accuracy of its self-evaluation.

Costs: £100.00 subscribing church schools, £200 all other schools. Schools booking more than one delegate on the course, will receive a 50% discount for additional delegates.

This event is split into 3 sessions:

Session 1 - 1.30 - 2.30pm
MDSA training in understanding ASD and supporting children with ASD. The training will also focus on more general behaviour issues at lunchtimes.

Session 2 - 2.45 - 3.15pm
Child specific training covering transition planning and support for staff working with a specific child next year. (Parents invited).

Session 3 - 3.40 - 4.30pm
Whole staff ASD training

A training event delivering information on ASD using power point and visual resources. This event also offers practical strategies to support pupils and has opportunities for discussion
