8: Supporting Subject Leaders in Effective Long Term Planning (with the Rigolo or any other Scheme of work) (Cancelled)
The KS2 Rigolo French Scheme of work is used by many primary schools in Suffolk and provides teachers particularly non-specialists, with an excellent framework of support. This course aims to provide subject leaders with guidance on how to adapt the scheme to ensure that it meets the 'substantial progression@ required by the Programme of Study over the four years of language learning in KS2.
A Summer RE Conference for all teachers of RE (EVENT FULL)
The Holocaust Education Trust will give our key note presentation. A full programme of short focussed sessions will follow with a choice for both primary and secondary delegates, which we hope will include such things as: • Storytelling and scrapbooking • Journalling in RE • The Joy of Texts (GCSE) • Speed ‘Faithing’!
Lunch will be provided.
Costs: £75 per delegate / £50 for additional members of staff from the same school
A half day conference for adults working with children to look at what emotion coaching is and how to introduce it in school settings. Emotion coaching is a relationship-based approach to develop emotional intelligence, support children’s capacity for pro-social behaviour and emotional regulation. This session is aimed at ELSAs working in Suffolk Schools but is also open to other adults working with children who would find this useful.
