This 3.5 hour course is designed to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to those that undertake a teaching and/or lifesaving role with direct responsibility for a group of pupils swimming in shallow water (less than 1.2 metres). Courses are organised by Suffolk Norse Ltd on behalf of Suffolk County Council.

This CPD is aimed at teachers and classroom practitioners of pupils in key stages 1 and 2 with the aim of getting maximum progress and attainment from EAL learners who are proficient, particularly in their spoken English, (DFE proficiency codes D and E).
