This workshop will give the attendee an overview of what dyslexia is and provide a range of strategies for meeting the needs of learners with dyslexia. The following questions will be addressed:
• What is dyslexia and how can I identify it in my classroom?
• What strategies can I employ to support those learners with literacy difficulties and /or dyslexia?

10 Places are available for this 3 day training which equips practitioners to plan and deliver the Webster Stratton Incredible Toddlers programme for parents of children aged 1-2½. Applicants should be experienced with this age group and committed to co-facilitating the 10 week programme. A Summer RE Conference for all teachers of RE (EVENT FULL)

 
The Holocaust Education Trust will give our key note presentation. A full programme of short focussed sessions will follow with a choice for both primary and secondary delegates, which we hope will include such things as:
• Storytelling and scrapbooking
• Journalling in RE
• The Joy of Texts (GCSE)

Safer Recruitment practice for schools

 
Schools, and education settings, share with others a duty to safeguard the children in their care. Implementing safer recruitment practices is one way of discharging this safeguarding obligation.
This one-day course gives school staff recruiters the information and understanding they need to recruit safely and comply with relevant statutory guidance. It is suitable for all those involved in staff selection.
