An invitation to shape the Dyslexia Outreach Team's (DOT's) new offer to support learners with Dyscalculia and Maths Difficulties

Event Description From September 2019, the Dyslexia Outreach Team (DOT) will be providing support to Suffolk schools for learners who have a specific learning difficulty with numeracy. This free workshop will give an overview of Dyscalculia as a specific learning difficulty and best practice regarding assessment procedures and teaching recommendations. Integral to the workshop will be opportunities for attendees to present current school perspectives and concerns around supporting students with Maths difficulties.
Training Objectives Attendees will:
- gain an understanding of the nature of Dyscalculia as a specific learning difficulty
-have opportunity to express current challenges faced by schools in supporting learners with numeracy difficulties.
