Dyslexia Awareness: Gateway Qualification Level 3 Accredited Course

Event Description The Qualification will cover the following topics:
• What dyslexia means
• The assessment and identification of dyslexia
• The impact of dyslexia on the individual
• Strategies and interventions to support the learning of the
individual with dyslexia
The course is suitable for professionals who are working with individuals with literacy difficulties; teaching assistants, teachers and Sencos. The course requires the attendees to complete 24 guided learning hours and is delivered over 3 full days. The attendees will be expected to complete assignments outside of the sessions to meet the accredited assessment criteria showing their understanding of the above topics. The assessments will be presented in the form of a portfolio of different activities. It will be helpful if the attendee is working with a pupil who has literacy difficulties and or dyslexia when on the course. Please see attached additional information.
Training Objectives Attendees who complete the course and assignments will gain a Gateway Level Three qualification in Dyslexia Awareness.
