| Event Description | The KS2 Rigolo French Scheme of Work is used by many primary schools in Suffolk and gives teachers, particularly non-specialists, a good framework of support. This course aims to provide Subject Leaders with guidance on how to adapt this scheme (or any other scheme) to ensure that it meets the ‘substantial progression’ required by the Programme of Study over the four years of language learning in KS2. We will also provide support on how to enrich any scheme of work with opportunities to develop creative modules within the scheme. | ||||||||||||
| Training Objectives | Participants will: • have the opportunity to discuss and reflect on the key principles to apply when developing a Scheme of Work over 4 years; • see a possible model of a 4 year overview using Rigolo or other schemes of work as the main resource (including consideration for mixed age planning) supported by enriching activities; • have the opportunity to plan together in closer detail one of the contexts for learning. |
