| Event Description |
This course costs £760 This programme is delivered as two, 2 hour sessions at the end of the school day. It includes physical de-escalation techniques to redirect or physically support a child and can also include a selection of escape techniques through to a restrictive hold. This programme trains staff to a suitable and sufficient level to manage a potentially dangerous situation in a safe, ethical and legal manner, ensuring the rights of the child are always taken into consideration. Staff must have attended the theory programme and the school must have had the risk management training delivered within the school, to ensure there is also a clear audit trail of early intervention and behaviour management strategies |

| Training Objectives | The candidate has undertaken a course in the above subject and has been awarded a certificate by Unisafe in accordance with the ICM Quality award for training in managing work related violence. This course requires bi-annual renewal |
